Dr. Janina Scarlet is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, author, and a TEDx speaker. A Ukrainian-born Jewish refugee, she survived Chernobyl radiation and persecution.
Dr. Scarlet earned her Ph.D. from the City University of New York. Her clinical experience includes using Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help individuals with PTSD, anxiety, grief, and trauma, and burnout, as well as using Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for PTSD. Dr. Scarlet also has experience working with a variety of mindfulness and meditation techniques, as well as compassion and self-compassion. Dr. Scarlet is also available to support Jewish clients with intergenerational trauma processing. Dr. Scarlet also has a lot of experience working with creatives - writers, actors, artists, and musicians to help them overcome creative blocks and enhance their creativity.
Dr. Scarlet currently offers telehealth sessions for adults with anxiety and PTSD, and is licensed to work with clients in California and Nevada. In addition, she is fluent in Russian and can conduct therapy with Russian-speaking clients.
