I’m Talya! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker dedicated to supporting children, adolescents, families and young adults. I work with a strength-based approach tailored to the unique needs of each client. Using an integrative treatment model to meet client goals and practice healthy coping strategies to address anxiety, grief/loss and challenging transitions, I draw on my understanding of the family system, attachment theory, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, music and play therapy, mindfulness practices and the mind-body connection.
I completed my undergraduate studies in Biopsychology, Cognition and Neuroscience as well as Community Action and Social Change at the University of Michigan and received my MSW from the University of Michigan (Go Blue!) with a concentration in working with children, youth and families. I taught Music Psychology at the University of Michigan and love integrating music therapy into my practice when appropriate.
